- Beginning of Ramadan: The first fast (Sawm) is expected to be on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
- Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Power): The 27th night of Ramadan, which is spiritually better than a thousand months, is anticipated to be on March 16, 2026.
- Eid al-Fitr: The festival marking the end of Ramadan is expected to be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026.
The Three Ashras of Ramadan: A Spiritual Journey
Ramadan is divided into three parts, each of ten days, called “Ashras.” Each Ashra is dedicated to a specific spiritual state and prayer:
1. 1st Ashra: Days of Mercy (Days 1-10) These are days for reflecting on Allah’s mercy.
- Recite: “O Allah, have mercy on me.”
2. 2nd Ashra: Days of Forgiveness (Days 11-20) This is a time for repentance from sins and seeking forgiveness from Allah.
- Recite: “I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord.”
3. 3rd Ashra: Days of Salvation (Days 21-30) The last Ashra is a time to seek salvation from the Hellfire.
- Recite: “O Allah, save me from the Hellfire.”
Important Tips for a Healthy Fast
According to the guidelines given in the image, taking care of your health during Ramadan is also important so that you can focus on worship:
- Don’t Skip Suhoor: Eat a nutritious, slow-digesting meal before beginning your fast to maintain energy throughout the day.
- Stay Hydrated (Avoid Dehydration): Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor times.
- Break Your Fast Gently: Instead of eating a heavy meal right away at Iftar, start with dates and water, following the Sunnah, and then eat a larger meal after a short while.
