The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was launched in 2008 to provide financial support to the poor, especially women. It has now been integrated with the Ehsaas Program under various categories like:

  • Emergency Cash Program

Requirements to Check BISP Payment

Before you begin or know about How To Check BISP Payment By CNIC, make sure you have the following:

  • A valid 13-digit CNIC number
  • Access to mobile phone or internet
  • Mobile number registered with your CNIC (optional but helpful)

Method 1: Check BISP Payment via SMS

  1. Open your SMS app
  2. Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes)
  3. Could you send it to 8171?
  4. You’ll receive an SMS reply with your eligibility and payment status.

Method 2: Check BISP Payment Online

You can also check BISP payment details online via the Ehsaas 8171 Web Portal:

  1. Go to the official 8171 web portal: https://8171.bisp.gov.pk
  2. Enter your CNIC number
  3. Enter the captcha code shown on the screen
  4. Click on the “Check” button
  5. Your payment status and eligibility will be displayed on the screen

This method is useful if you have internet access.


Method 3: Check Payment via BISP Office or ATM

  • You can also visit your nearest BISP or Ehsaas center with your CNIC.
  • Alternatively, use HBL ATM or partner banks (for Kafalat recipients) to check your balance and withdraw money.
